It's new year's eve! Now is the time to reflect and ponder about the happenings of the past year. Exactly one year ago, RJCSB'05 spent the night at Pei Xuan's house celebrating the new year, watching fireworks on the balcony with Darryl and Paul shouting "I DWEEEEEAAAMMM" at the top of their lungs.

haha those were the days :) I miss the batch!!

Looking back on this year, I think that I have grown a lot in terms of mentality and girth. haha. My first new year resolution is to shed off 3 kg. :) But seriously, I think that this year has been quite an enjoyable one for me. There have been new experiences, new faces, new places..

The first half of the year was quite slow, the most interesting thing that happened to me was that I got my job at IMCB, I got my Monash interview.. yeah that's about it. It was the second part of the year that most of the changes in my life occured. First it started off with YISS in June. The 3-day growth seminar really was a life-changing experience. I felt this fullness within me that I had never felt before. and it really made me feel more complete. I can't really put in in words, but it was truly amazing, and that is an understatement.

In July, there was NBC and it was so cool being in RJ band u again. :) the black tie, blazer, skirt, stockings.. it felt so wonderful :) I miss the RJ band uniform :) There was also, the CSA FOC and it was really nice meeting up with other Catholics. For the past 6 years, I wasn't in a religion-oriented school, like the convent schools, so when I actually mingled with a large group of Catholics, it was really an experience talking to people and learning about the faith from them, because I admit, my life before this was like a spiritual desert.

In August, NTU started and I was completely miserable.. but then I became closer to people like Van, Igg, Cheryl, Alex.. basically the freshies!! :) and so, they made life in NTU more bearable. Of course, there was my dear Tse Min, whose room I would pop into once in a while and I could stay there for hours just rubbishing with her :D ahh i miss popping in to tse min's room.

With the arrival of September saw the departure of a lot of my darling darlings :) Chong, Xin, Lyn, An Min, Shen Ye, Inez, Liu Rui, Nic, Shun.. ahh and I miss them all so much!! -hugs- Lyn, I hope to see you in February before I leave!!!

The last few months just flew by, really. This whole year has flown by. Eunice finished her A levels.. I got my license. I'll be 20 in one month and one day.. oh gosh. Good bye teen years! Hello.. uh.. mid-life crisis? haha ok I shall not be such a pessimist. :)

I thank God for 2006. I think my biggest gain from this year was the restart of my spiritual journey with God and I am truly thankful for it. :) My life feels more stable, more balanced.. and there are so many things that I am thankful for.

I have decided that my new year resolutionS are to lose 3 kg (as mentioned above haha) and to maintain and feed my spiritual development! yes.. and I realised that by the end of the year, I usually forget my resolution HAHA.. so this serves to document it.

Should all acquaintance be forgot and never brought to mind,
Should all acquaintance be forgot in days of auld lang syne.
For auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne.
We'll raise a cup of kindness yet, for auld lang syne.

Man I'm in even sure whether it goes like that, but to all, HAPPY NEW YEARRR!!!
