Hm. There are a lot of things that I wanted to say but I forgot. haha. I think my memory is failing me. And I think that is attributed to the fact that it hasn't been used for the past.. year? Haha. How amusing.

But first, I want to say MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This year's Christmas was quite different from last year. The family dinner was held at Uncle An's house and I didn't go over to Paul's house. But I did have fun!

On Saturday, after alumni, Paul and I went to Darryl's house for his class party. Hee he said that I'm now part of 3J. It was a really fun party. It was just a small gathering of people from his class and it was so fun! Ms Hor and Mr Lai were there! The only girls were Walker, Feifei, Yekky and myself. The guys were, of course, talking about army. There was this really cute family photo in the stairwell and Darryl looked so cute! :) But it was really enjoyable, so thanks Darryl! I had a wonderful time! After that Paul and I took a cab and we were just talking about a lot of rubbish in the taxi. The taxi uncle was so nice! He didn't start the meter until we got to the main road because he wasn't sure about how to get out! I thought that that was really sweet of him.

Yesterday morning, I went for mass at 9 as usual. Then after that there was a 208 society class outing! :) only that Shun and Vivvy weren't there :( but it was really enjoyable! We were talking about all our stupid sec 1 escapades. Like how Oafie, Lorenda and Margaret used to play dodge the Leonganna. And how there was 1 PE session back in Sec 1 when we were taking height and weight and someone recorded Margaret's weight wrongly so it seeemed as though she put on 7 kg in 1 term. That was so funny. and how the little Yupi Gummies were pup leongannas and memorable things like that. AND U2 was having a sale! I got 2 pairs of jeans for $69! which I'm going to bring over to Australia. :) I need to buy more long sleeved shirts as well. bleh. Last night, I went for the midnight mass! It was my first time going for midnight mass and it was really really nice. Eunice and I went about half an hour early and the church was already almost full! Jim smartly told us to dress up so we both wore dresses that we wore for prom -.- and I did feel slightly overdressed but then there were other people who dressed up so it was ok :) and the mass was really beautiful. Thanks to Barry for the card and Emmanuel for the present! Father Clifford celebrated the mass and his sermon was really thought-provoking. One thing he said that would always be with me is the matter of gift-giving:

Jesus was God's gift to mankind, but have you ever thought that mankind was God's gift to Jesus? Back in the time in Genesis, there was just God and Jesus, and because God loved Jesus, he wanted to give His son a gift, and that was mankind. Imagine if you were in a department store buying a gift for your son. And after wrestling with all the parents you're lucky enough to get that gift. But then that gift is broken, spoiled. Wouldn't you be sad? Similarly, mankind is broken and spoiled, and God was disappointed, sad. But then Jesus told God, "Don't worry, I will fix it." And there, we have the death of Jesus on the cross to save us from sin.

When I heard the sermon, my first thought was: Wow. I never really thought about it that way and I felt overwhelmed. :) It really was quite an experience and I can't really find the words to describe how I felt, but it was just amazing. :)

After mass, they were serving fruit cake and wine in the canteen, so Jim, Eunice and I went down and had a bit. Eunice took 2 cups of wine. haha. We got home around 2 and I was talking to Paul on the phone until around 3 when the both of us decided that we were completely exhausted and then went to sleep. :)

Didn't do much today. I spent the whole day bumming around with Eunice. I had an afternoon nap and then waited for Che and Ben to come over for dinner. It was really enjoyable! I love it when they come over then we'll all just talk for a long time over coffee. For some strange reason, we spent a long time talking about gays. OOH and we decided that since our own family never had our own dinner, we decided that we shall have an Epiphany dinner. How cools is that? We go against convention. haha. :) hm. Interesting. But this year I experienced a lot of meaningful things, and for that I am thankful :)

"For God so loved that world, that He gave his only son.." God bless us, everyone :)
